As soon as we found out we were actually pregnant, I celebrated the news with a trip to the bookstore and some leisurely time in the parenting section. Although we waited a bit to share our news ( and due to IVF found out pretty early on that we were indeed expecting ) I wanted to soak up information, tips and an understanding from others as to what the next months might look like.
Some of the usual titles were appealing, and many of them were gifted to us as well..but among the bedside stack there was one I kept going back to. Not as well known perhaps as the others but more then worth the read, From the Hips
has a way of walking you through all of the real information you need, answering any questions you might have and manages as well to provide some laughs along the way.
To me, the perfect new mom library would include From the Hips, One of the weekly guides ( I loved the Baby Center version and website )
