On Saturday February 20th, our Northpark store had the pleasure of hosting Laurian Scott, author of Thisbe’s Promise for a book signing. It has been said of this book that it is “The greatest ‘show and tell’ book of love for mothers and children everywhere”. It absolutely did not disappoint! What a joy for the children who were able to have the book read to them by the author! As an adult, and a wallflower during the reading, the enthusiasm that was involved in the reading was a sight to behold. To have a creator share their work of art, it was simply magical.
There were treats for the children who also were able to take a minute and color pictures which will be on display in the Northpark location. The beautiful images on the pages of Thisbe’s Promise sparked the creativity and their imaginations. It was a fun filled day for all involved.
The Northpark staff is truly blessed to have a new friend in Laurian Scott, thank you for sharing your creation with our children!
